Title: Automotive Technician
Location: Fremont, CA
Duration: 6-month contract with possibility for extensions and possibility for conversion
Pay Rate: $20 - $22/hr

Required Skills & Experience
• 2 years of vehicle technician experience or related • Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used within a vehicle workshop or service center • Ability to communicate clearly and follow oral, written, email, and text message instructions. • Ability to remain engaged, proactive and positive in all circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success. • Maintain flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments. • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Ability to lift to 50-70 lbs. without assistance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with car modifications • Experiencing utilizing Tesla Toolbox software and calibrations with various Tesla car PC configs
Job Description
The Automotive Performance Technician plays a frontline role, with the modification and installation of performance aftermarket parts on Tesla vehicles. The successful candidate for this position must have a proven record of success with vehicle repair, suspensions, brakes, wheels/tires, and aero. This candidate takes pride in their hands-on abilities, organization skills and attention to detail. They appreciate an environment where superior work is encouraged, noticed and rewarded. Essential Functions and Duties • Modification of Tesla vehicles through all aspects of performance upgrades available – Suspension, brakes, wheels/tires, aero, and interior. • Repair of Tesla vehicles by means of OEM parts throughout all aspects of failures and replacements. • Ability to diagnose customer concerns – noises, vibrations, faults, errors, and various issues. • The skilled and safe handling of vehicle shop equipment – tire machine, balancer, vehicle lift, alignment rack, hand tools, power tools, hydraulic press, and any other items needed to perform the job. • Interacting with vehicle owners as needed in a professional and courteous manner. • Driving customer vehicles in/out of the shop, test rides, and for diagnostic purposes. • Ability to research and understand vehicle repair procedures, diagrams, and specifications. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a requirement to establish an effective working relationship.
