Job Title: Loan Servicer

Location: Houston, TX (On-site)

Compensation: $50k-$55k base salary + Quarterly Bonus

We specialize in residential and commercial real estate projects, with a growing portfolio of value-add and ground-up developments. Our hard money lending division plays a key role in fueling our growth by providing flexible capital solutions for investors and developers.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Servicing Specialist to support the servicing and administration of our hard money loan portfolio. This individual will ensure the accurate processing of payments, maintain compliant loan records, and provide best-in-class support to borrowers throughout the life of each loan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payment Processing: Accurately process and record all loan payments, including principal, interest, and escrow transactions.
• Customer Service: Respond to borrower inquiries regarding loan balances, payments, and account details; assist in resolving issues efficiently.
• Loan Record Management: Maintain current and accurate loan files, documentation, and transaction histories in internal systems.
• Delinquency Management: Monitor past-due accounts and work directly with borrowers to create payment plans or address potential defaults.
• Compliance: Ensure all servicing activities adhere to internal policies, loan terms, and regulatory guidelines.
• Loan Modifications: Assist in the documentation, coordination, and implementation of loan modifications and restructurings as needed.
• Escrow Management: Administer escrow accounts related to property taxes, ensuring proper tracking and timely disbursements.
• Reporting: Generate loan servicing reports and performance summaries for internal management.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Work collaboratively with legal, accounting, and asset management teams to resolve servicing-related issues.
• Additional Duties: Support audits, assist with process improvements, and provide training or support to team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in loan servicing, mortgage operations, or financial services (experience with hard money lending a plus).
• Strong knowledge of loan servicing systems, payment processing, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
